What is myopia?

Low-dose atropine eye drops
Low-dose atropine eye drops are used nightly to help slow the progression of myopia in children. This treatment is often recommended for younger children or for patients whose prescriptions are changing rapidly.
The eye drops are easy to use at home and are commonly paired with routine monitoring visits to track changes in prescription and eye growth over time.
Multifocal contact lenses
Multifocal contact lenses do more than sharpen vision. These specially designed lenses help change how light enters the eye, which may help slow myopia progression in growing children.
They are available in a variety of designs and may be recommended for children who are comfortable wearing contact lenses during the day.
